Associate veterinarian Ana Macias joined the team at Hill Country Animal Hospital in April of 2016.
Dr. Macias is a native of Texas and grew up surrounded by animals on her family's farm. When our veterinarian performed a farm call to deliver a calf I knew that's what I wanted to do when I grew up, she says. Dr. Macias appreciates the variety in her work. Every day is different with different types of cases.
Dr. Macias attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate degree in biomedical science and graduated cum laude. She went on to attend the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and her professional interests include internal medicine and preventative medicine.
Dr. Macias and her husband Matt share their home with two children and two beagles, Pickles and Gracie Lou. When she's not working, she enjoys crafting and spending time with her family.
